Responsibilities
Blueprint & Schematic Literacy: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and step-by-step assembly instructions
Precision Tooling: Mastery of hand tools, calibrated torque drivers, calipers, micrometres, and microscopes for micro-assembly
Electromechanical Knowledge: Understanding how mechanical housings interface with electronic sub-assemblies (e.g., connectors, ribbons, and sensors)
Adhesive & Chemical Application: Proficiency in using epoxies, thermal pastes, and bonding agents (like Loctite or RTV)
Quality Inspection: Ability to identify defects, solder bridges, or mechanical misalignments using visual and automated inspection tools
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Protocols: Strict adherence to safety standards when handling sensitive electronic components and PCBs
Fine Manual Dexterity: Experience working with extremely small components and high-precision tolerances
Qualification
