Start in 2026 SummerSpot & Tango is a fast-growing, VC-backed e-commerce startup focused on pet health and customer experience. They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the summer to collaborate with experienced engineers and work on meaningful projects in a startup environment.

Responsibilities
Build and improve internal tools and customer-facing applications, primarily using React, React Native, and Django
Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to bring ideas to life and enhance user experiences
Collaborate with senior engineers, who will provide you feedback in code reviews, helping you deepen your understanding of modern software development best practices
Help develop technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing within the team
Learn about the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in a fast-paced startup environment and contribute to agile development processes
Keep up with emerging technologies and explore ways to improve our products and systems
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript etc.)
Familiar with web development (React, Django, Node.js, or similar frameworks), AWS, and backend systems
Understanding of databases (SQL vs NoSQL) and API design (REST)
Passionate about technology and excited to work in an agile, fast-moving startup environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
