Responsibilities
Lead structural analysis and design for steel, reinforced concrete, and composite building systems
Develop detailed structural calculations and construction documents
Partner closely with project managers to execute technically sound and efficient project delivery
Coordinate with architects, BIM designers, and outside consultants throughout design and documentation phases
Contribute to seismic design, evaluation, and retrofit efforts
Participate in client meetings and technical coordination sessions
Support QA/QC reviews to ensure design excellence and code compliance
Navigate California building codes and agency requirements with confidence
Qualification
Required
5-8 years of experience in structural building design within a consulting environment
Demonstrated experience designing large steel and reinforced concrete structures
Strong understanding of structural analysis and seismic engineering principles
Experience contributing to multidisciplinary design teams
Clear communication and strong organizational skills
Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
SE license or active pursuit of SE licensure
Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
Experience with DSA or HCAI-regulated projects
Seismic retrofit experience, including ASCE 41 familiarity
High-rise or other Type I construction experience
