Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced data scientists to support the US Intelligence Community in designing and implementing AI algorithms. The role involves collaborating with customers to understand their data challenges and developing tailored AI solutions while providing guidance and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate AI algorithms to address real-world challenges
Interact with customers directly to understand the business problem, help and aid them in implementation of AI solutions, deliver briefing and deep dive sessions to customers and guide customer on adoption patterns and paths to production
Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations adapted to technical, business, and executive stakeholder
Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help define product direction
This position may require up to 25% local travel

Qualification

Required

2+ years of data scientist experience
3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
1+ years of working with or evaluating AI systems experience
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred

Ph.D. in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application to reasoning and problem-solving
Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company
Experience in defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance
Experience working on multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects
