Responsibilities
Prepares and documents standard operating procedures and protocols as it relates to security
Acts as expert for infrastructure teams in the plan, design, and delivery of security solutions
Drives short & long term architecture strategy for the overall security project portfolio for key business segments
Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy
Communicates and validates program architecture with infrastructure team, project management team, and technology services management team
Develops and recommends technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
Writes comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
Engineers, implements, and monitors security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information
Develops enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms
Develops and maintains security standards relating to firewall and port security
Assists with Disaster Recovery and Incident Response planning and documentation
Supports the IT Infrastructure in a 24x7x365 operation environment and participates in an on-call rotation process
Problem solves and acts independently to resolve complex systems issues as needed
Provides technical and professional guidance, training, and support to team members
Vulnerability management programs and patch management experience
Develops clear and well-documented procedures and diagrams
Manages multiple tasks successfully; quickly and efficiently moves attention between multiple tasks without loss of accuracy and while maintaining a calm and confident demeanor under demanding conditions
Uses a systematic approach in carrying out assignments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in the field of Computer Science or comparable experience required
Minimum 10+ years' experience in enterprise environment
CISSP, CASP+, CCSP, or similar certification(s). Incumbents not certified will be required to enroll in the certification programs
Strong experience with all aspects of planning design implementation and operation
Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP Addressing/Subnetting, VLANs, ACL, etc.)
Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
Knowledge of designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention
Experience working in a mission critical support environment using ticketing systems, knowledgebases, and ITIL Best Practices, specifically ITIL Incident Management
Strong verbal and written communication skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with core project team members, team leads, and end-users
Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
