Mid LevelPineQ Lab Technology is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and optimize databases for their applications. The role involves performing maintenance, monitoring database health, and ensuring high availability while acting as the primary point of contact for database-related issues.

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day database operations with minimal supervision
Perform regular maintenance such as upgrades, patching, backups, and restores
Monitor database health and ensure high availability and stability
Handle database incidents and service requests in a timely manner
Act as the primary point of contact for database-related issues
Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes
Support production and non-production environments
Ensure databases meet performance, capacity, and reliability requirements
Follow security, compliance, and governance standards
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams
Qualification
Required
Manage day-to-day database operations with minimal supervision
Perform regular maintenance such as upgrades, patching, backups, and restores
Monitor database health and ensure high availability and stability
Handle database incidents and service requests in a timely manner
Act as the primary point of contact for database-related issues
Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes
Support production and non-production environments
Ensure databases meet performance, capacity, and reliability requirements
Follow security, compliance, and governance standards
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams
Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
Experience supporting NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar)
Good understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices
Experience supporting cloud or hybrid database environments
Ability to support both operational work and new transformation initiatives
Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Preferred
Basic scripting or automation experience is preferred
Relevant database or cloud certifications are a plus
