Program Coordinator I
The N.C. Department of Administration is seeking a Program Coordinator I to support the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) Program. The role involves managing federal funding streams for domestic violence shelters and ensuring compliance with grant requirements while promoting effective community resource coordination.

Responsibilities
Understand the rules of FVPSA funding sources being managed, including allowable and allocable costs, and proactively build relationships with assigned subgrantees
Review and approve reimbursement requests and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper use of federal funds
Prepare and submit performance reporting and applications for new federal funding requests into grant solutions
Provide technical assistance, desktop monitoring, and site visits to subgrantees to ensure successful program implementation and fiscal management
Support the development of and assist with the implementation of awards from multiple FVPSA funding streams
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining timely accurate reconciliation procedures to ensure all State and Federal grants related financial activity is completed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Competency in violence prevention and promising practices to address the needs of victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and their families
Demonstrated ability to record, compile, and analyze data with responsibility for content review, accuracy, integrity, and quality
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of financial management and accounting
Understand the rules of FVPSA funding sources being managed, including allowable and allocable costs, and proactively build relationships with assigned subgrantees

Establish and maintain timely accurate reconciliation procedures to ensure all State and Federal grants related financial activity is completed
Preferred
Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience in direct fiscal compliance and monitoring
Working knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations that govern grants management and the administration of FVPSA funding streams
Exceptional comfort with computers and the ability to learn new technology quickly
Experience with using and navigating cloud-based storage and collaborative document management
Ability to work within a team to plan, organize, and prioritize work to accomplish compliance with federal guidelines and W&Y standards and to meet competing deadlines
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills used to facilitate reporting of necessary information
Ability to respond to field inquiries for information, as well as questions about financial grant reporting
