6+ years expDND Staffing LLC is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the planning and design of a wide range of facilities and infrastructure projects. This role provides in-house electrical engineering expertise to support capital, O&M, and emergency projects across substations, service centers, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities
Lead engineering design for facilities, yards, and commercial buildings
Specify & select power equipment (MV/LV switchgear, generators, UPS, etc.)
Perform electrical load calculations: short circuit, voltage drop, breaker coordination, conduit/cable sizing, lighting
Ensure compliance with NEC, NYC/NYS Building Codes
Review and approve contractor drawings, calculations, and submittals
Act as internal consultant and collaborate with architects, consultants & stakeholders
Conduct cost-benefit studies and support capital budgeting
Serve in a lead/project manager role for engineering coordination
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience
(OR Master's degree with 6+ years experience)
Strong technical skills in power systems and electrical equipment sizing
Familiarity with NEC and NYC/NYS building codes
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage shifting priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
