Responsibilities
Plan, install, configure, test, implement, and manage core system hardware and software
Install, configure, and maintain F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM) solutions
Create and manage:
Virtual servers
Pools and pool members
Nodes
Monitors
IRules
Provide load balancing support across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and IBM Cloud
Perform system upgrades, patching, and regular health checks
Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by internal and external teams
Plan and design load balancing and network architecture solutions
Support application testing after infrastructure changes
Ensure minimal downtime during upgrades and deployments
Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements
Maintain security compliance and ensure systems are regularly patched
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of F5 VIPRION LTM and GTM systems
Experience with Virtual F5 environments
Experience with Migration from physical to virtual/cloud load balancers
Experience with Global and local load balancing
Experience with SSL acceleration
Experience with HTTP compression and caching
Experience with DNS management
Experience with VMware environments (ARVI)
Experience with Cloud networking across AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud
Minimum 3 years configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting F5 VIPRION load balancing solutions in enterprise environments
Minimum 3 years as a Network Administrator with Cisco network equipment
Minimum 2 years supporting cloud-based load balancers, servers, and network systems
Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
Equivalent experience substituted on a year-for-year basis
