Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and validate requirements to ensure safe design rollout for steering systems, with a focus on preventing lateral hazards
Work closely with cross-functional teams across Product Development Engineering, Functional Safety, and CBS under Matt Jones
Apply ISO 26262 principles to engineering workstreams, ensuring compliance with automotive safety lifecycle expectations
Collaborate with teams utilizing modeling and systems engineering tools such as MagicDraw; ability to work with compatible tools such as Rhapsody is beneficial
Support mechanical system-focused engineering—primarily EPAS (Electric Power-Assisted Steering)—without requiring electronic wiring expertise
Contribute to technical reviews, risk assessments, and safety analyses

Cross-Functional Team Experience (Required)
ISO 26262 Knowledge or Certification
Steering System Engineering Experience
Preferred
Mechanical system engineering, particularly EPAS systems
Experience with MagicDraw; familiarity with Rhapsody or similar model-based systems engineering tools considered compatible
Background in braking systems (as a secondary, helpful domain)
