Responsibilities
Responsible for providing technical expertise, analysis, and publishable products to advance the frontiers of science and address some of the most challenging problems in national security, energy, and the environment
Gather, analyze, and evaluate information from a variety of sources
Anticipates internal and or external business challenges, sponsor and/or regulatory issues; recommends process or service improvements
Identifies and solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the Laboratory
Utilize technical expertise in one or more scientific, engineering, or policy disciplines, determine significance and reliability of incoming information, integrating new information with current data
Evaluate information to determine a recommended course of action
Apply and interpret theories, principles, methods, tools, and technologies within an area of specialty
Provide domain knowledge and insight on national-level mission needs to multidisciplinary project teams comprised of scientists and engineers
Qualification
Required
BS/BA and 7 years of relevant experience -OR-
MS/MA or higher and 5 years of relevant experience
U.S. Citizenship
Background Investigation: Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter in accordance with 10 CFR 710, Appendix B
Drug Testing: All Security Clearance positions are Testing Designated Positions, which means that the applicant selected for hire is subject to pre-employment drug testing, and post-employment random drug testing. In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate non-use of illegal drugs, including marijuana, for the 12 consecutive months preceding completion of the requisite Questionnaire for National Security Positions (QNSP)
