InternMurrelektronik North America is seeking an Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support their Production and Operations teams. The role involves identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing production processes while gaining hands-on experience in industrial engineering and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Support layout improvements to reduce repetitive motions and improve workflow efficiency
Observe production processes and identify opportunities for waste reduction
Assist with basic problem-solving and process improvement projects
Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and root cause analysis activities
Help create and update manufacturing documentation such as process flow charts, work instructions, and cycle time tracking
Assist with new product launch preparation and production support
Support KPI tracking and reporting efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to manufacturing operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Interest in manufacturing, production processes, and industrial engineering
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings or documentation
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Preferred
Basic understanding of Lean concepts or continuous improvement methods
SAP exposure is a plus
Lean or Six Sigma coursework is a plus but not required
