FACILITIES PROGRAM SPECIALIST

Responsibilities
Coordinates, assembles, and reviews facilities requirements for CDM Fort Washington buildings, grounds,and other sites and assesses core capabilities in support of programs to ensure the ability to address thehighest priority needs. As the Facilities Program Specialist for CDM, the incumbent will assist in the execution of facilities management functions for CDM
Inspects and evaluates structures and implements a program that complies with regulatory requirements to manage fire safety risks, establishes facility response to emergencies, and manages other risks associated with physical security and hazardous materials and waste
Identifies and analyzes facilities and logistical requirements, and planning, on a quarterly basis, the overall use of resources, both personnel and materials
Attends staff meetings, working groups, and coordinates with various personnel to accomplish facility workand logistics efforts

If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement

Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
Serves 'on call' and may be required to be available after duty hours when problems arise. The incumbent is subject to call seven days a week, 24 hours a day
This is a key position. Incumbents must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available
Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and as necessary to meet regulatory guidance
Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement

Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of federal budgeting principles, concepts, and practices to prepare budget requirements submissions for operation, maintenance, repair, new construction, alteration projects, replacement of equipment, supplies, or increase in services
Knowledge of a variety of federal logistics concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to logistics management including the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support and equipment management, warehousing, and logistics
Knowledge of safety and security practices for government facilities organizations' related correspondence; and plan strategies, decision making processes, control systems, and organizes staff development of objectives
Knowledge of a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning complex technical requirements, operating capabilities, and maintenance needs of facilities and equipment
Comprehensive knowledge of the Air Force Process to request office space in the NCR
Knowledge of basic federal budgeting principles, concepts, and practices
Knowledge of safety and security practices for government facilities and research laboratory facilities
Skill in reading and interpreting paper- or computer-based engineering drawings and schematic diagrams to determine deficiencies and prepare complete documentation for new construction or repair and alteration projects
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to become COR certified and retain certification
