Responsibilities
Clean and maintain offices, workstations, restrooms, and other building areas to include cleaning and maintenance of floors, carpets, walls, windows, furnishings and other building fixtures by using a variety of techniques, methods, and equipment such as burnishers, buffers, shampooers, extractors, vacuums; ensure areas are fully stocked with essential supplies
Receive, store and deliver supplies; set up, move or store tables, chairs, and other furniture, possibly several times within one shift; and maintain tools, equipment and supplies used on the job
Inspect building areas and grounds to check safety and security measures such as locked doors and windows, fire hazards, trespass, unauthorized exit or theft, and slipping/tripping hazards. Operate electronic doors and elevators and record the distribution of security keys to staff
Answer phone calls and provide information to the public or refer calls to staff; and provide work direction to season employees

Required
High School graduation or equivalent
None
Certification by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) for authorized access to areas where the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) is accessed or CJIS information is stored is required after hire and the ability to maintain this certification every year
Regular attendance according to the position's management approved work schedule is required

Proven experience as custodian or in a similar role
Some knowledge of cleaning equipment
