Electrical Engineer II

Responsibilities
Support electrical design of circuits, subsystems, and test setups
Assist with schematic capture, PCB design, PCB population, and documentation
Support laboratory testing, data collection, and troubleshooting
Perform basic electrical calculations and simulations
Assist with integration of electrical components with mechanical and embedded systems
Document designs, test results, and research findings
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
2–4 years of electrical engineering experience
Preferred
Master's Degree preferred
PE Exam
Very desired to have experience with PCB design for power converters (AC/DC , DC/DC)
Very desired to have testing experience with high power systems, including testing documentation/procedures and safety standards
Very desired to have knowledge with software packages: MATLAB SimuLink, LTSpice, PLECS, ANSYS
Experience with high power (above 20 kW) and high voltage (+1000V)
Experience with topologies such as: DAB, DABSRC, NPC rectifiers, 3-level and multi-port converters
Experience with wide-band gap devices (GaN, SiC) and gate drive
EMI/EMC knowledge and design considerations
Controls for power electronics is desired (digital, current and voltage modes, frequency modulation, micro-controllers and FPGA)
Experience with conventional magnetics (inductors, transformers)
Advantage to have experience with solid state transformer technology or wireless power transfer systems
