Solutions Architect

In this role, you will support the sales process by turning client needs into clear, well-defined scopes and proposal deliverables while collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and clients. Responsibilities

Partner with the sales team to review and qualify opportunities early in the process and help define scope direction
Review drawings, bid forms and project documents to evaluate technical requirements and solution considerations
Collaborate with engineering to confirm feasibility and shape solutions that align scope, budget and client expectations, resulting in clear, client facing proposals
Translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
Attend client or partner meetings with Sales as the technical support resource
Document conversations and ensure alignment between sales, engineering, and operations
Develop proposal narratives, scope summaries, budget-level outlines, and design engagement letters
Ensure client-facing documents are clear, accurate, and reflect agreed-upon scope
Maintain opportunity notes and project detail within CRM and Insight
Strengthen relationships with existing clients through ongoing solution support
Recommend refreshes, upgrades, or roadmap planning tied to client budget cycles

Required

Experience in AV, lighting controls, low-voltage integration, or related building technology markets
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, or bid documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when simplifying complex concepts
Familiarity with CRM or project software (Insight, D-Tools, Salesforce, etc.)
Industry certifications (CTS, Lutron, Crestron, etc.) are valued but not required
Experience in AV, lighting controls, building technology systems, IT infrastructure, or related industries
Strong understanding of technical documents such as drawings, specifications, and scope outlines
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Familiarity with CRM or project management systems
Industry certifications (CTS, Crestron, Lutron, etc.) are highly valued but not required
