Edgewise Therapeutics is focused on discovering new medicines for patients with serious muscle diseases. The Senior Director/Executive Director of Insights and Analytics will lead data-driven commercial strategy development and insights generation in preparation for the US launch of their product for Becker muscular dystrophy.

Responsibilities

Enable data- and insights-based commercial strategy development, commercial and life cycle planning, and operations for Edgewise’s skeletal (Becker muscular dystrophy, Duchenne muscular dystrophy) and cardiac (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) businesses
This role will report to the Head of US Commercial Skeletal Business with a dotted reporting line to the VP of Cardiac Commercial Strategy
As one of the first Commercial hires, serve as a patient-centric culture champion and be exemplary in working and influencing cross-functionally to accomplish our objectives on behalf of patients living with serious muscle diseases
Serve as lead and point of contact for all business intelligence, market research, and insights generation workstreams in preparation for commercial launch, such as primary and secondary research with HCPs, patients, and payers
Support scenario planning, disease education and brand messaging development, patient experience/services development; ATUs; target product profile testing; and other relevant initiatives
Support commercial assessments for new indications, market / geographic expansion opportunities
Be a proactive and curious thought partner, independently raising insights needs, research methodologies, and key business questions
Collaborate with external partners and internal stakeholders including Commercial, Market Access, Medical, Business/Corporate Development, Communications, Patient Advocacy, and others to ensure alignment on research initiatives, data purchases, research product profiles, strategy-enabling insights, and other relevant initiatives
Maximize the value of research initiatives and data sources (e.g., claims, CRM, specialty pharmacy and hub) and conduct ad hoc analysis to drive insight generation
As a market research and insights expert, keep abreast of emerging industry tools and trends, best practices, and pursue innovative and compliant ways to improve commercial outcomes for skeletal and cardiac businesses
Develop and manage insights department budgets
Lead all competitive intelligence (CI) initiatives for both skeletal and cardiac programs, identifying key intelligence questions, innovation across the landscape, selecting CI vendors, and oversee congress CI activities
Be a key member of launch planning teams, defining market research and insights plans needed to support and measure success of launch. Ensure project milestones are met to achieve launch readiness
Lead the situational assessment portion of launch/Brand planning processes for both skeletal and cardiac businesses
Support definition and measurement of launch key performance indicators and dashboarding
Contribute to forecasting and other analytics-related efforts, as needed

Required

BS/BA with at least 12+ years' pharma/biotech industry and/or management consulting experience in market research, insights, or analytics, with at least 3-5 years in rare disease environment
US market launch experience with a commercialized product is required
Skilled in working with claims data and claims data platforms (e.g. Komodo, Veeva) to develop key business insights
Experience with a variety qual and quant primary research methods (e.g. DCM, conjoint, HCP or Payer IDIs, focus groups, chart audits, ATUs)
Successfully developed and executed market research and insights plans in preparation for commercial launch
Have exceptional ability to distill research output into decision-enabling recommendations and effectively communicate to executive and cross-functional audiences
Remote/hybrid role with up to 25% estimated travel to headquarters, internal and external meetings, and congresses as deemed necessary
