Benefits Intern (Undergraduate - Summer 2026)
Centene Corporation is transforming the health of the community, one person at a time, and they are seeking an intern to support their Benefits team. In this role, you will review and enhance benefits communications, develop educational materials, and participate in project meetings to improve employee understanding of benefit offerings.

Responsibilities
Review, audit, and catalog existing benefits communications across all channels (email, PDFs, presentations, intranet content, guides, and employee‑facing materials)
Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and improve employee understanding of benefit offerings
Partner with the Benefits team to draft or enhance educational materials including FAQs, onboarding content, and broader employee education materials
Support development of clear, employee‑friendly messaging around health plans, cost‑sharing, enrollment timelines, and benefit changes
Participate in project meetings, gather stakeholder feedback, and assist with organizing content workflows
Qualification
Required
Strong written and verbal communication
Content development and editing
Analytical and critical-thinking ability
High attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Coursework or experience in HR, Communications, Marketing or Business
