Responsibilities
Architect and implement scalable data platform solutions leveraging modern cloud data technologies to support both real-time and batch analytical workloads
Develop and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines using distributed processing frameworks and modern scripting languages
Design and maintain analytical data models that support enterprise reporting, executive dashboards, and forecasting initiatives
Lead integration efforts across core business systems, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and structural alignment within centralized data environments
Establish governance frameworks including lineage tracking, metadata standards, and quality controls
Drive performance tuning efforts and cost optimization strategies across compute and storage layers
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, finance, and operational teams to translate business needs into technical architecture
Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies and architectural improvements
Qualification
Required
8+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or BI engineering roles
Hands-on experience architecting solutions on Databricks and/or Snowflake
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark
Deep understanding of data modeling principles (3NF, star/snowflake schemas, data vault)
Proven experience designing data lakes and lakehouse architectures
Strong familiarity with financial data structures, accounting schemas, and legal practice management systems such as Aderant or Elite 3E
Experience building data solutions to support financial planning, billing, profitability, and time & expense analytics
Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP (Databricks, Snowflake, S3, Delta Lake), Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Clear technical communication and documentation skills
Ability to influence and align technical direction across teams
Preferred
Databricks Certified Data Engineer / Architect or Snowflake SnowPro Advanced: Architect
TOGAF or other enterprise data architecture credentials
