Responsibilities
Conduct Preliminary, System, Subsystem, and Functional Hazard Analyses
Create and maintain System Safety Program Plans (SSPP) aligned with MIL‑STD‑882
Develop Basic Fault Tree Analyses to assess failure modes
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate safety requirements into design
Provide safety briefings and reports to customers and internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree or above in Engineering discipline
Experience with Aviation
Experience conducting System Safety analyses, in compliance with MIL-STD-882 or equivalent
Experience presenting analyses results to program at milestone reviews
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access
The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance
Preferred
Active Top Secret clearance
Civilian or Military Pilot or flight crew experience is a plus
Working knowledge of Human Factors is considered a plus
Working knowledge of MBSE a plus
Reliability and Maintainability engineering working knowledge a plus
Experience supporting System Safety Working Groups (SSWG)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
