New Grad, Entry LevelDiocese of Saint Petersburg is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School IB Science teacher to join Clearwater Central Catholic High School for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sciences and experience teaching at the high school level, particularly in an IB context.

May include teaching IB, College Prep, Honors & AP course in the subject areas of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Systems & Societies, Marine Science
Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state science standards
Foster a classroom environment that supports scientific inquiry and student collaboration
Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments
Integrate technology and hands-on lab experiences into instruction
Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school events
Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field
Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Science
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for science education and student success
Successful completion of a level II background screening and all diocesan-mandated trainings
Preferred
Master's degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field
Previous teaching experience at the high school level
IB teaching experience
