Responsibilities
Develop and maintain dbt-based data models and transformations to support analytics and reporting needs across the organization
Design and optimize Snowflake data warehouse structures for performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient, reusable data solutions
Build and maintain reusable dashboards, data products, and metrics that enable stakeholders to explore and analyze data effectively
Apply software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing) to analytics workflows
Conduct deep-dive data analysis to answer complex business questions and provide actionable insights
Contribute to the evolution of the team’s technical strategy by recommending improvements to data architecture, tooling, and processes
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data analytics
Expertise in Snowflake: schema design, performance tuning, and advanced SQL
Proficiency with dbt and git-based workflows for data transformation and modeling
Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling best practices
Familiarity with Python and libraries such as pandas for scripting and exploratory analysis
Experience building effective and reusable dashboards using tools like Tableau or similar
Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with business stakeholders
Preferred
Hands-on experience with additional databases or data stores (PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch)
Experience with dashboarding tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Tableau
Familiarity with satellite-based remote sensing and/or software-defined radio
