Responsibilities
Perform hands-on hardware break-fix on multiple storage platforms (after a short training period)
Schedule service calls and coordinate the delivery of parts to meet the customers’ SLAs
Perform installations of Rubrik storage equipment and PayRange devices in multiple locations locally (unboxing, lifting, racking/stacking, configuration, etc.)
Act as smart hands with direction from the Rubrik support center for Rubrik maintenance
Frequently lift and move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds for maintenance
Interacting with IT customers, TSP technical team members, and external support organizations
Maintain flexibility to travel outside of the coverage area when required
On-call rotation with other team members 24/7/365
Qualification
Required
1-2 years in a similar field technician role would be beneficial
Any IT or storage experience is welcome, but not a requirement
A strong sense of urgency, time management, and customer-facing skills are required
Must have a general understanding of Microsoft Outlook and demonstrate superb communication skills (phone/email/in-person)
Must be reliable, proactive, and possess the ability to take ownership of multiple engagements
Good job stability must be reflected on the resume
Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license (business mileage reimbursed), and auto insurance
Must be able to lift and install equipment (up to 75 pounds) into customer racks
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Exposure to data center environments is preferred but not required
Education: degree in computer science, information technology, or any technical field preferred
