High Voltage Test Engineer II – Power Transformers
Siemens Energy is seeking a motivated Test Engineer to support critical test operations in their Power Transformers Test Field. In this role, you will ensure product quality and safety while collaborating with various teams to develop and improve testing procedures.

Responsibilities
Execute high‑voltage testing for power transformers in compliance with standards, regulations, and customer requirements
Ensure safe test operations and proactively address safety risks
Develop, improve, and troubleshoot test procedures, systems, and equipment
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve test issues and support root cause analysis
Maintain calibrated test equipment and accurate test documentation
Support continuous improvement and early integration of test requirements in product development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience in high‑voltage electrical testing (transformer manufacturing or related)
Knowledge of transformer test standards and quality methodologies
Experience with test equipment, data acquisition systems, and troubleshooting
Strong safety mindset, problem‑solving skills, and communication abilities
Flexibility for shift work and occasional international travel
If not already located in Charlotte, NC, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate (relocation assistance provided)
