The Weather Channel is seeking skilled Editors to join their post-production team for nationally syndicated daytime television court shows. The role involves editing episodes, adding evidence and audio elements, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining creative standards.

Responsibilities
Edit and build full episodes for multiple syndicated court shows
Cut cases down for time and content while preserving story clarity and pacing
Add evidence, exhibits, and on-screen elements as needed
Mix audio, including voice-overs, music, and sound effects
Cut episodic promos and teasers
Address notes from producers and post supervisors promptly
Deliver completed episodes according to network specifications and deadlines
Occasionally pick up another editor’s episode or hand off your own to ensure delivery timelines are met
Create split-track masters for final delivery when required
Juggle multiple episodes at different stages of post simultaneously in a high-volume environment
Qualification
Required
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere required
Proven experience editing unscripted episodic television; court or legal programming experience is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong communication skills for working with Post Producers, Supervising Producers, and other team members
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
Creative problem-solving and a proactive mindset
Preferred
BA/BS degree preferred
