They are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to contribute to software development projects, gain exposure to cloud technologies, and work alongside experienced engineers during the Spring 2026 term.

Responsibilities
Contributing to software development projects by working on assigned tickets and features
Assisting in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications within Availity’s platform
Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participating in team meetings, code reviews, and releases
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product and QA, to deliver high-quality features
Conducting unit and integration testing to ensure software reliability and performance
Learning about healthcare data exchange standards and compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA, EDI)
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP)
Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Java, C#, or JavaScript
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated interest in building scalable systems and real-world software applications
Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving, self-learning, and seeking clarification when needed
Preferred
Prior internship or project experience in software development
Experience with Java/JavaScript
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Understanding of databases and SQL/NoSQL
