Systems Engineering Intern (PHX)
Astronautics Corporation of America is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to join their Phoenix team. The intern will support engineers in the development, verification, and maintenance of system definitions in various avionic systems while gaining real-world experience in an engineering development environment.

Responsibilities
Participate in systems development activities including requirement specification and design definition
Perform system verification activities including test definition, test execution, and review of lifecycle artifacts
Integrate and debug executable code on avionics hardware platforms
Support the generation of lifecycle documentation for avionic systems in the pursuit of formal certification with the FAA and foreign certification authorities
Qualification
Required
Current accredited college or university enrollment with junior or senior standing; making progress towards an undergraduate degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Biomedical, Computer, Mechanical, Software, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
Working knowledge of engineering concepts, practices & procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Able to work full-time onsite during the summer of 2026
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred
Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
Experience in software debugging and troubleshooting
Programming experience with Python, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
Ability to work part-time during the school year
