E-Commerce Lead

Goodwill Central Coast is seeking an E-Commerce Lead to manage and optimize online sales through various platforms. The role involves receiving, processing, selling, and shipping items, as well as leading operations and personnel training.
Retail

Responsibilities

Review and confirm suitability for e-sale of books and other items
Take detailed/clear appropriate photos of merchandise for auctions
Write concise and accurate titles and descriptions when listing online auctions
Purge unsold items periodically
Fulfill sales by packing and shipping sold items
Send rejected or purged items back to the warehouse
Receive incoming items from warehouse and vendors
Assist management in meeting and/or exceeding revenue and inventory goals through actively seeking to maintain best practices
Help maintain all e-commerce and Goodwill related assets; ensure protection of assets from either intern~I or external loses
Demonstrate and enforce Kaizen practices
Ensure that housekeeping, safety, and security is maintained, reporting all needed repairs, problems, and/or hazards immediately
Address customer service questions in a professional manner and add appropriate information to listings if needed
Aid in training internal staff
Collect and share data via existing and to be determined reports
In the manager's absence, answer all phone enquiries
In the manager's absence, interact as a liaison between employees and administration when needed
In the manager's absence, create purchase orders for supplies as determined by monthly inventories of same
In the manager's absence, complete and submit required paperwork
In the manager's absence process time/attendance records and/or payroll documentation
Monitor supply levels on a regular basis and alert management when items need reordering
Perform related duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months previous clerical, processing or shipping/receiving experience, or equivalent
Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
General familiarity with Goodwill's mission and general Company policies and procedures (this may be learned on-the-job)
Familiarity with computers and typical software, online programs and search engines such as Google, E-Bay, Amazon, and Microsoft products
Familiarity of digital camera use
Knowledge of collectibles and/or antiques helpful
Ability to communicate in basic oral and written English; ability to communicate in basic Spanish desirable
Ability to understand and accept directions and follow procedures
Ability to perform routine work, adapting to change as it relates to work flow without loss of efficiency
Ability to maintain self-control and work in cooperation with co-workers
Ability to coordinate eyes/hands/fingers to quickly and safety manipulate and handle items
Ability to examine items and visually differentiate between them based on quality standards
Ability to take acceptable digital photos for online listings
Ability to perform duties independently with limited contact with co-workers and the public
Ability to meet and maintain established production and quality standards, as communicated by the supervisor
Ability to provide excellent customer service per Goodwill guidelines and procedures
Ability to demonstrate satisfactory attendance, according to Goodwill policy
Ability to adhere to safe work practices as documented in Company safety policies; ability to report safety hazards/accidents promptly to supervisor or safety committee member
