Responsibilities
System Maintenance: Configure and maintain CICS system software and manage configuration changes across hundreds of regions (Production, Test, and Q/A)
Software Customization: Customize IBM and ISV products related to the CICS environment, including exit codes and productivity tools
Problem Determination: Provide 24/7 support for business applications. Analyze traces, dumps, traps, and logs. Collaborate with IBM and ISV technical support to resolve issues promptly
Performance Tuning: Use management tools and techniques to ensure optimal response times in high-volume transaction environments and control system resource costs
Process Management: Utilize change, incident, and problem management tools in accordance with data center standards and participate in technical meetings
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience supporting CICS environments
Strong programming skills in Assembler and Rexx
Expert-level performance analysis and real-time problem determination in critical business environments
Excellent communication skills to provide technical guidance and collaborate with application development teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Insurance or Mutual Fund industry experience
