Responsibilities
Manage multiple telecommunications engineering projects covering construction, dark fiber, lit transport, Internet service, and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH)
Ensure engineering teams meet project milestones, deadlines, and quality standards
Coordinate project deliverables with internal teams, vendors, and contractors
Conduct weekly project update meetings to communicate progress, risks, and next steps
Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within internal tracking and reporting systems
Verify and process project-related invoices and change orders
Monitor permitting activities for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on schedule and within scope
Proactively suggest process improvements and system enhancements
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in Outside Plant (ODP) Telecom Engineering or Construction Project Management
Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale fiber projects simultaneously
Working knowledge of GIS-based software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS)
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or SiteTracker
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunication or a related field
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)
OSHA 10/30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
