Director of Procurement
Life.Church is a multi-site Christian church seeking to make a lasting difference in the community and the world. The Director of Procurement will lead strategic procurement operations, vendor management, and contracting practices, driving efficiency and financial stewardship across the organization.

Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing and category management by executing complex sourcing initiatives including RFx processes, competitive bidding, and supplier evaluations across all direct spend categories including telecom and software
Develop category strategies with defined supplier segmentation, performance metrics, and continuous improvement frameworks
Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers through executive-level relationship management, joint business planning, and collaborative innovation initiatives to drive mutual value creation and competitive advantage
Lead vendor negotiations and contract optimization to secure favorable terms, pricing, and risk mitigation while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements
Define and track procurement KPIs, execute cost reduction programs and value engineering initiatives with quantifiable financial impact, and regularly report savings achievements to leadership
Benchmark and optimize SaaS, software, and telecom spend by analyzing technology spend against industry benchmarks, identifying optimization opportunities, and negotiating enterprise agreements to maximize value from software and telecommunications investments
Oversee complete contractor lifecycle including sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding, establishing standardized processes to optimize contractor productivity and support YouVersion Team Leaders
Monitor contractor performance, implement success metrics, and provide guidance to business leaders to ensure optimal outcomes from professional services engagements
Lead negotiations for professional services contracts, ensuring favorable terms, clear deliverables, and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
Create performance frameworks and industry benchmarks to evaluate professional services providers and drive continuous improvement in contractor effectiveness
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key professional services vendors by managing executive-level partnerships with major consulting and services providers, conducting regular business reviews and developing collaborative strategies for large-scale engagements
Oversee complete source-to-pay process from requisition through payment, ensuring efficient vendor onboarding, purchase order management, invoice processing, and payment execution
Develop comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, approval matrices, compliance standards, and escalation protocols across all business units to ensure consistent practices and risk management
Deploy procurement technology platforms to enable real-time spend visibility, automated reporting, and data-driven decision making across the organization
Lead cross-functional procurement enablement and training by developing procurement training programs, creating self-service tools, and establishing resources to empower business teams to navigate vendor processes while maintaining compliance and achieving optimal outcomes
Qualification
Required
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement with strong attention to detail and strategic judgement
Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation
Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change
Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects
Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others
Deep expertise in procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor negotiation with proven ability to lead complex supplier agreements and drive cost optimization
Strong expertise with SaaS contracts, technology procurement, and managing technical service providers
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field
7-10+ years of experience in senior-level financial leadership or procurement
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred
