Facilities Manager - Miami Cruise Terminal
MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest cruise line brand, is expanding its Terminal Operations team in the USA. The Asset & Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and lifecycle management of all building systems and maintenance operations at the Miami Cruise Terminal, ensuring high-performance asset management and operational continuity.

Responsibilities
Own the performance, reliability, and lifecycle planning of all terminal assets and systems, including MEP, vertical transportation, life safety, baggage handling, security systems, and specialty cruise infrastructure
Establish asset registers, criticality rankings, maintenance strategies, and renewal plans
Drive transition from reactive maintenance to proactive and predictive asset management
Lead and oversee the maintenance teams, ensuring proper staffing, prioritization, and execution of proactive, reactive, and tactical maintenance activities
Balance hands-on operational awareness with high-level oversight and decision-making
Ensure maintenance activities support continuous cruise operations with minimal guest impact
Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance and asset strategies aligned with operational demands
Plan and manage corrective works stemming from construction deficiencies, system failures, and deferred scope
See complex initiatives through from identification to resolution, including budgeting & scheduling
Maintain deep working knowledge of service contracts, warranties, O&M manuals, and construction close-out documentation
Operationalize contract requirements into day-to-day execution, performance metrics, and vendor accountability
Ensure vendors and internal teams meet contractual, safety, and performance obligations
Manage multiple critical vendors and service providers, including escalators/elevators, baggage systems, life safety, and specialty equipment
Serve as a senior point of escalation for performance issues and service failures
Collaborate closely with terminal leadership, security, cruise partners, and Port stakeholders
Identify operational, safety, and reputational risks tied to asset performance
Ensure deficiencies are addressed with urgency and transparency
Maintain a strong focus on guest experience, staff safety, and operational continuity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive experience managing complex facilities or infrastructure assets
Proven experience overseeing maintenance teams and multiple service contracts
Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, vertical transportation, life safety systems, and large public facilities
Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement O&M manuals, warranties, and contract requirements
US Passport or US Permanent Resident
Preferred
Experience stabilizing new or problem facilities strongly preferred
Cruise terminal, airport, port, or large transportation hub experience is a plus
