Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain computers, operating systems, and applications to ensure system reliability
Assist with user account management, access control, IT inventory tracking, and system documentation
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, assist in the setup and maintenance of network equipment, and ensure network security
Set up and configure workstations for new employees, provide user training, and create IT support documentation
Enforce IT security best practices, ensure HIPAA compliance, and assist in security policy implementation
Provide second and third-level technical support to resolve escalated IT issues
Support IT and business initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of computer systems, software, and troubleshooting methodologies
Basic understanding of IP addressing, routing, DNS, and firewall management
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to assist employees at all technical proficiency levels
Knowledge of IT security best practices, data protection measures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
Ability to quickly diagnose IT issues, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple support requests
Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies, IT security trends, and infrastructure advancements
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in technical support, help desk, or IT technician roles
Understanding of IT security principles, data protection measures, and HIPAA/GDPR compliance
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
