Responsibilities

Participates in development of program budget
Monitors and manages program operation to assure delivery of services within contracted levels in accordance with available resources
Provides personnel management, administration of personnel policies, staff and student meetings and supervision, staff evaluations, recruitment of staff and related functions
Assures maintenance of physical plant and compliance with health and safety guidelines
Maintains program activities in compliance with BestSelf Behavioral Health, Erie County, New York State, and/or other regulatory agencies
Assures completion and accuracy of all statistical, attendance and other reports
Coordinates program's relationship with other agencies and community resources
Assures accuracy of all record keeping including client chart documentation
Participates in all relevant agency meetings and committees
Maintains collaborative relationship with partner agency, Prevention Focus
Oversees Advisory Committee recruitment and monthly meetings
Develops and assures implementation of treatment team meetings
Leads team in formulation of program content based on client needs
Directs community outreach activities
Completes all trainings required by the agency
Performs all other duties as assigned

Required

OMH Certified Peer Specialist or OASAS Certified Peer Advocate certification required
Must have knowledge of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) diagnosis, treatment and practice
Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant community resources and SUD treatment system structure
The ability to maintain records and prepare reports
Strong communication, empathy, and advocacy skills
Valid NYS Driver's License
Must have accredited NYS Defensive Driving course; or obtain within 15 days of hire and send certification of completion to Human Resources
Must maintain active NYS Defensive Driving course every 3 years and send a copy of the new certification of completion upon expiration
Must maintain valid vehicle inspection, registration, and insurance cards and send updated copies to Human Resources upon expiration

Preferred

OASAS Certification Preferred
Master's Degree and QHP certification in a field specified by NYS OASAS or CASAC degree and at least three years of relevant direct service experience, including one year of supervisory responsibility
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field or CASAC credential, and seven years relevant direct service experience, including at least two years of supervisory responsibility
