Responsibilities
Lead technology design (telecommunication, audio‑visual, and security systems), including system calculations, equipment selection, layouts, drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates
Coordinate system designs and equipment with other engineering disciplines
Support production through preparation of drawings from redline markups and design sketches
Perform construction‑related services such as shop drawing review, responding to RFIs, and construction observation
Conduct quality control on assigned projects
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years designing telecommunication, audio‑visual, and security systems within an AEC/MEPT engineering firm environment
BICSI RCDD certification
Desire to grow into a leadership role and eventually lead the RCDD department
BICSI RCDD certified, or eligible to apply for the BICSI RCDD examination
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in the AEC industry
Highly motivated with the ability to budget time and work efficiently, independently, and as part of a project team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Strong working proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
