The Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center develops nonpartisan policy solutions to enhance global energy security and promote economic opportunities. They are seeking a Summer Intern to provide research and logistical support, engage in events, and contribute to publications related to energy and climate policy.

Responsibilities

Conduct research to support the activities and projects of the staff
Handle an array of logistical coordination for program events and activities
Write correspondence and take notes at Council public events, roundtables, and strategy sessions
Write analytical pieces for publication on GEC’s EnergySource blog

Required

Must be at least a college junior in good standing, a graduate student or a recent graduate, preferably majoring in political science/international affairs, public policy, energy/environmental science, economics, or another field relevant to energy and climate policy
Demonstrated interest in international affairs with a focus on energy, foreign policy, economics, or climate policy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to identify and work through challenges
Aptitude and strong skills in research and writing
Strong analytical, planning, time management, and organizational skills
A strong attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Poise and professionalism in a team environment with colleagues and counterparts in the United States and abroad
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) in the office

Preferred

Demonstrated interest in international affairs and/or energy and climate through class work or experience is strongly preferred
