Junior Engineer - Electrical Distribution System
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Junior Engineer for their Electrical Distribution Systems team. This role involves planning and maintaining the campus electrical distribution system network, ensuring quality assurance, and collaborating with contractors and consulting engineers.
Responsibilities
This position serves as the Engineer responsible for planning and maintaining the entire campus electrical distribution system network
The overall responsibilities include maintenance, quality assurance of as-built information, administrator of the campus short circuit model, provides faults studies and reviews the work of the brightest Consulting Electrical Engineers in the area
This position also needs to be familiar with the Geographic Information System (GIS), EDS switching procedures, working knowledge from the IBM Maximo system (working management system, and the ability to work with contractors on the EDS system
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline related to the area of assignment
at least two (2) years' experience
