Quality Systems Specialist
Milwaukee Electronics is a leading provider of innovative manufacturing solutions, and they are seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements while collaborating across departments to drive standardization and quality practices.

Responsibilities
Serve as the site lead for compliance activities related to:
Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Customer complaints and product returns
Internal and external audits
Nonconforming materials
Document control and training, including IPC-A-610 training and certification tracking for operators and inspectors
Act as the site administrator for QMS documentation and electronic systems, ensuring traceability, controlled access, and version accuracy
Develop and maintain training materials aligned with IPC-A-610 standards; coordinate initial, refresher, and remedial training sessions as needed
Provide compliance guidance and quality training to associates, including hands-on IPC workmanship coaching on the production floor
Support the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the site’s Quality System in alignment with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
Support internal audits and assist with third-party or customer audits as needed
Facilitate and track the timely resolution of quality issues, including preventive action planning and root cause analysis
Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance product and process quality
Engage in team meetings and cross-functional workgroups with a positive, proactive approach
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with regulatory and customer standards
On-site attendance is an essential function of this position
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Compliance within a regulated industry (aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing)
Hands-on experience with IPC-A-610 application and training is highly valued; Milwaukee Electronics will provide certification and training as part of this role
Ability to develop and deliver training content, interpret complex standards, and document compliance findings clearly
Strong interpersonal skills to coach and influence across departments and levels
Ability to apply math concepts in real-world quality metrics, yield analysis, and reporting
Skilled in using data to support process improvements and corrective actions
Must be able to obtain IPC certification within 90 days of hire if not currently held
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; use of hands for data entry and handling small components
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
Work is performed in both office and production floor environments
Moderate noise levels; PPE required in designated areas
Preferred
IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) preferred; training and certification will be provided if not already held
Demonstrated ability to deliver IPC training to operators and inspectors; familiarity with revision changes and certification cycles
Working knowledge of electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and rework/repair best practices per IPC standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with electronic QMS platforms is a plus
Internal auditing experience preferred but not required
