Responsibilities

Review, organize, and manage the City's STEM summer program
Utilize resources to develop engaging exposure activities for program participants
Collaborate with camp supervisors, City employees, community vendors to organize and schedule age-appropriate activities
Ensure a safe learning environment
Communicate issues and concerns in a timely manner
Provide professional support such as tracking and charting citywide performance measures; develop tracking methods and gathering performance data
Perform related work as required

Required

Enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a degree seeking program in an accredited college or university in Education, Science, Math, or a field related to the area of internship
A Resumé is required to be considered for this position
All candidates chosen to interview must present a brief presentation during their interview
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with supervisor, co-workers, other City employees and the general public
Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suites
Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, and to request clarification when needed
Must have valid driver's license
