Lead NSC/Voice Technician
Intelligent Waves is seeking a Lead NSC/Voice Technician to support warfighter mission assurance by managing secure and non-secure voice, video, and telephony systems across the Network Support Center. The role involves overseeing the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of VoIP, VTC, and telecommunication infrastructure while ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities
Manage, design, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching systems to ensure reliable and secure network operations
Support secure voice and video communication platforms, including system configuration, encryption implementation, and specialized telephony protocols
Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration management records to ensure full traceability of system updates and infrastructure changes
Conduct root cause analysis of network and telephony incidents, driving timely corrective actions and long-term operational improvements
Apply IT asset management best practices to track and sustain voice, video, and network infrastructure resources across mission environments
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while providing clear, consistent status updates and technical reporting to Government leadership
Ensure compliance with STIG requirements, vulnerability remediation efforts, and patch management processes across voice and video systems
Support surge operations and rapid deployment of telephony infrastructure to meet evolving mission and operational demands
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of six (6) years of equivalent experience supporting enterprise voice and network systems
DoD 8140/IAT Level II baseline certification required (Security+ CE preferred)
Advanced, hands-on expertise with Cisco routing and switching infrastructure (CCNA/CCNP preferred)
Strong technical proficiency in VoIP, VTC technologies, and telephony protocols, including SIP, H.323, and TDM
Working knowledge of telecommunications and operational standards such as TIA, ITIL, BICSI, NEC, and ISO 9000
Demonstrated ability to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling systems
Experience supporting secure communications environments, including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS
Proven understanding of TEMPEST compliance and applicable Defense Intelligence Agency directives for sensitive systems
