Legal Assistance Developer

Responsibilities

Implement the requirements of the Older Americans Act as it relates to the provision of legal services created to safeguard the rights and protections of older adults
Review and oversee rules governing aging programs and services within the Division's scope of work and authority

Required

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a BA/BS in Political Science, Human Services, Public Administration, or Communications with three years of work experience in one of the above or related fields
Management prefers candidates with an MA/MS in Public Administration, Human Services, Political Science, or a related field of study with two years of work experience
Individuals with training or background as a Paralegal, Law Clerk, Legislative Assistant, or experience in governmental policy making or oversight at the local, state, or federal level are encouraged to apply

Preferred

Demonstrated experience working with older adults, the aging network, legal service providers, or organizations that serve disabled and vulnerable populations
Experience in developing and conducting training for audiences of various skill levels and familiarity with the information presented
Adept at handling multiple projects or assignments with competing deadlines
Experience in convening and coordinating work groups
