Healthcare Data Analyst – Indianapolis Health
Milliman's Indianapolis Health practice is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to support consulting work with Medicaid state agencies. This role involves organizing large healthcare data sets and developing solutions using data-based approaches, contributing to informed policy and program decisions.

Responsibilities
Maintain and analyze large, complex health datasets
Develop and implement data analysis plans to address project objectives
Support data staging and processes for monthly client deliverables
Produce sophisticated code and check for reasonability of results
Build, train, and enhance AI solutions
Build user-friendly and dynamic models for client uses
Utilize strong problem-solving skills
Effectively communicate data analysis findings to the consulting team - verbally and written
Work efficiently in a multi-task environment
Work both independently and collaboratively on projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, data science, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field
Proficient in one or more coding languages (e.g., SAS, R, VBA, SQL, Python) with the desire to learn others
Experience with Microsoft Excel or other similar software in performing quantitative analysis
Experience with R Shiny
Experience in application development and software implementation
Strong written and oral communication skills
Organizational and time management skills
Basic knowledge of Gen AI tools, how to utilize AI to enhance productivity, and potential ethical considerations or concerns
Preferred
1 to 3 years of full-time professional or work experience in a similar role
Master's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, data science, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field
Prior Internship or research experience in data analytics
Experience working within a health-related company, and/or consulting firm environment(s)
