Responsibilities
Architect and build cloud-native systems, wrangle cloud systems’ complexity, and ensure that best practices are followed when utilizing a wide variety of cloud service offerings
Be a subject matter expert on AWS services, tools and best practices
Answer questions on various cloud-native technologies and AWS services, and provide recommendations on what service to use and when
Deep involvement in continuous delivery automation, and the integration of cloud-native services to create fully functioning, cohesive delivery pipelines
Ensure that an application and the systems it runs on implement appropriate monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
Provision cloud infrastructure in an automated manner using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
Build containers and automate container orchestration - deployment, management, and scaling, using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Work with relational and NoSQL data stores, and data warehouses
Implement solution POCs and automate solution resiliency validation and verification
Responsibility for technical security implementation, and enforcement of compliance and security guidelines
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design & implementation of distributed applications
Minimum of 5 years' experience in highly available architecture and solution implementation on AWS and on-prem data centers
Minimum of 5 years' experience in architecting and delivering AWS solutions
Minimum of 5 years' experience with industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques across the disaster recovery discipline
Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents
Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution
A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected
Experience writing short python programs for scripting and manipulating data from scratch
Deep involvement in continuous delivery automation, and the integration of cloud-native services to create fully functioning, cohesive delivery pipelines
Hands-on experience with varied AWS services, their limitations and alternate (non-AWS) solutions that might serve better in particular situations
Experience ensuring that an application and the systems it runs on implement appropriate monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure in an automated manner using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
Hands-on experience building containers and automating container orchestration - deployment, management, and scaling
Working knowledge in setting and querying relational and NoSQL data stores
In-depth programming experience for the implementation of solution POCs and the automation of solution resiliency validation and verification
Responsibility for technical security implementation, and enforcement of compliance and security guidelines
