Responsibilities
Designing & releasing innovative medical devices that are safe and effective
Project management, including directing the activities of other team members
Subject matter expert in one or more areas; able to solve complex / challenging engineering problems within their area of expertise, and generally able to tackle moderately complex engineering problems
Participating in and leading risk management activities, with the assistance & participation of senior level subject matter experts
Creating regulatory compliant design history files, including personal generation of DHF documents, as well as oversight & review of the documentation generated by other team members
Clearly and effectively present the work output of the project team at cross functional design reviews
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent
Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), MS office
Proficient in design of injection molded plastic parts / assemblies
3-5 years relevant experience in the medical device industry
Ability to lead a team
High attention to detail
Ability to collaborate with other departments
