PM Technician - Forklifts

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns; provide proper repairs to minimize equipment downtime and initiate estimates for on-site repairs
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
Perform routine scheduled maintenance, including standard inspections, repair and replace defective parts, lubricate parts, and repair electrical equipment
Inspect used parts to determine changes in factory specifications
Review repair work and scheduled maintenance results with customers, communicating any potential issues. Responsible for field quoting and communicating services to customers
Utilize the Mobile Service application to close the day, fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, finalize jobs, and mark them as complete
Provide daily status updates to the dispatchers and review any customer issues or concerns with the dispatcher and account manager

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in a diesel mechanic or service technician role
Previous experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics
Ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams
Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to insurance company
Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks
Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner
