Senior Information Governance Specialist
TruLegal is representing a major Am Law firm seeking a Senior Information Governance Specialist to support high-visibility internal data collections and advance enterprise risk management initiatives. This role is responsible for executing defensible eDiscovery processes, conducting complex data collections, and managing Relativity workspaces while partnering closely with attorneys and IT.

Responsibilities
Lead defensible data gathering efforts from internal systems in response to subpoenas, formal production requests, and other authorized directives while maintaining precision and timeliness across the discovery lifecycle
Collaborate with counsel, legal operations, and administrative stakeholders to identify custodians, determine relevant repositories, refine scope parameters, and design sound collection approaches while translating technical terminology into practical guidance
Utilize and adapt to a variety of industry-standard discovery and records platforms to search, extract, process, and deliver data sets, maintaining agility as tools and environments evolve
Prepare and manage review environments, oversee ingestion and post-processing workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate indexing, batching, search strategy, export, and production tasks within discovery platforms
Recognize potential governance or compliance risks, address discrepancies between stakeholders and data sources, and elevate concerns appropriately to protect organizational interests
Engage with cross-disciplinary teams including technology, practice support, compliance leadership, and external service providers to facilitate collections, reviews, productions, and platform improvements
Contribute to the refinement of operational procedures, documentation, and best practices to enhance internal data response workflows
Deliver training sessions and ongoing support to legal and business users on governance protocols and litigation technology resources
Manage concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment, meeting demanding deadlines and supporting occasional after-hours requirements when necessary
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution or comparable professional experience
Extensive background in digital discovery, including significant experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar environment
Advanced proficiency administering and operating leading discovery platforms, including workspace configuration, processing workflows, complex search development, review setup, and production execution; advanced platform certifications preferred
Strong technical fluency across common productivity applications, collaboration platforms, document management systems, structured data environments, and enterprise email or records repositories
Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex data scenarios, manage shifting priorities, and communicate sophisticated technical or governance concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Professional, proactive, and highly detail-oriented approach with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups
Ability to operate in a hybrid work structure with a combination of in-office and remote engagement
