Responsibilities
Provide targeted instruction in Algebra 2, Geometry, and Chemistry, reinforcing foundational concepts and problem-solving skills
Support secondary-level English with a focus on reading comprehension strategies aligned to PSAT/SAT expectations
Teach and reinforce cognitive strategies for memory retention, organization, and academic processing
Utilize technology tools (Desmos, Gizmos, structured slide presentations, and AI-supported learning tools) to enhance understanding
Break down complex concepts into structured, step-by-step instruction with guided practice and frequent checks for understanding
Support homework completion and test preparation across subjects
Maintain consistent communication regarding progress and adjust strategies as needed to support academic growth
Qualification
Required
Passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience
Experienced high school tutor comfortable supporting advanced math and science subjects, including Algebra 2, Geometry, and Chemistry
Strong background in secondary-level English with emphasis on reading comprehension strategies for PSAT/SAT preparation
Skilled in teaching cognitive learning strategies, memory retention techniques, and comprehension skills
Proficient in integrating tools such as Desmos, Gizmos, PowerPoint, and AI-based learning supports into instruction
Adaptable and able to transition smoothly between virtual and in-person instruction as needed
Patient, structured, and able to explain complex concepts clearly while building academic confidence
Able to connect learning to student interests such as coding, technology, and interactive digital platforms to increase engagement
