Procurement Analyst

Responsibilities
Manage procurement processes: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing procurement processes, including identifying and evaluating potential vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
Analyze procurement data: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Monitor supplier performance: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for monitoring supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations
Maintain procurement records: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for issuing and maintaining procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices. This includes entering PO’s into the ERP system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Procurement Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Production, and Finance, to ensure that procurement activities support the company's strategic goals and objectives
Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives
Monitor industry trends: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for monitoring industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings
Cost Saving Initiatives: The Procurement Analyst should proactively identify areas within the organization where savings could be found
Qualification
Required
2-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing
Strong computer skills, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Knowledge of procurement best practices and trends
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Experience using procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP/Oracle, D365
Associates Degree
Preferred
Bachelors Degree
Some experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
