Responsibilities
To meet customer requirements and specifications, mechanical and thermal design engineering for power packs, engines/transmissions, electronics, and crew cabin HVAC systems is carried out
Generate and distribute engineering design specifications to meet vehicle performance requirements
Analyze the flow of fluids in 1-D to size and optimize distribution systems
Plan, choose, and integrate HVAC components and subsystems
Create CAD studies or collaborate with the design unit to create impartial models/drawings
Track weight, cost, thermal, and power allocations
Assist in overseeing supplier design development progress, technical action item list, and engineering communication transfer; collaborate with suppliers online and in person; evaluate supplier cost quotes
Proved understanding of mechanical and thermal engineering principles
Qualification
Required
A degree in Mechanical Engineering
Working knowledge of Teamcenter and Visio mockups
15+ years of relevant experience
Mechanical and thermal design engineering for power packs, engines/transmissions, electronics, and crew cabin HVAC systems
Generate and distribute engineering design specifications to meet vehicle performance requirements
Analyze the flow of fluids in 1-D to size and optimize distribution systems
Plan, choose, and integrate HVAC components and subsystems
