Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

Responsibilities

Review & verify customer specifications (Schematic & Cable drawings, Electrical Component Lists, etc.)
Create, update, modify electrical schematics, and layout drawings to communicate change recommendations to customer
Redesign and modify customer specifications to reduce material and labor cost
Manage multiple projects and communicate with other departments to make sure documentations are released on time to meet delivery schedule
Design cables and spec out components from power calculations
Review, verify and update customer supplied sheet metal drawings

Required

Rising Junior or Senior, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Ability to read schematic drawings and translate to point wirings
Ability to operate AutoCAD and/or Solidworks software
Experience with sheet metal design
Computer proficiency – Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access)
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors and team members
Teamwork orientated
Attention to detail
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Regular, predictable attendance is required as business demands dictate
Ability to telecommute or perform remote work as travel and / or business needs require
Tedious detail work (written or verbal)
Detail-oriented and extremely accurate
Ability to organize and prioritize working activities (flexibility)
